Flood-CDT Projects by National Eligibility
Thank you for your interest in applying for FLOOD-CDT. Our second round of applications (for entry in October 2025) is now open.
The deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday 8th January 2025. Candidates should apply to the respective partner university (Southampton, Loughborough, Bristol or Newcastle) that is listed against each project. The top one or two candidates ranked for each project will be invited to an online interview. Interviews will take place Thursday 27th and Friday 28th February or Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th March 2025. We will hold a webinar for interested candidates Wednesday 27th November, with an opportunity to ask questions: please email floodcdt@soton.ac.uk if you would like to attend that session.
We welcome applications from candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We also invite enquiries about the possibility of doing a PhD with us if you wish to work part time, if you have childcare or other needs that mean you need to work flexibly. We recognise that applying for a PhD can be a challenging process, particularly where you might not have access to support from people familiar with the process to help you effectively put an application together.
